Weddings without children would not be quite as exciting. Children add a special flavor to each event, and besides, they look really good in pictures. But at times, if they happen to be really young, they might be exposed to too much pressure, especially in the case of the flower girls, as the eyes of the guests are constantly focused on them.

- If the girl is older, keeping her informed about what will happen at the wedding will further increase her self confidence. It would be really great if you can invite her to other events before the wedding, like dinners or even when going to buy a certain item that is needed at the wedding.
- Also, make sure to decide with the parents of the flower girl who will buy the dress. Her outfit will always be important, for it has to match the bride´s dress. In some cases the flower girl´s dress can be very similar to the bride´s, just a little simpler. A plain yet fresh looking dress is better than making the girl wear a very sophisticated dress that will make her feel uncomfortable. The way the flower girl feels during the ceremony is essential for the success of the wedding. All the factors concerning this should be handled before the actual event, with care and consideration towards the child involved.
- If the parents will handle the flower girl´s dress then recommending a few stores to them might be a good idea. Nowadays there are many places from where you can buy flower girl dresses, such as bridal shops, designer shops and even some online stores. The right dress can be found at any of these stores, as long the parents have a good idea what to look for.
- At the actual wedding, assigning someone to look after the flower girl can make sure that everything will turn out right. Often choosing someone that is rather young to take care of the kids is a better choice as they can understand each other easier. This person does not have to be too young either, for he or she might not inspire enough authority.
- After the wedding is completed, offering the flower girl a gift as a reminder of the event that she has been a part of is something that she will definitely appreciate. In a few years she will be able to look back and recall all the pleasant memories that she had related to the wedding.
